Thursday night traffic is always the worst so lets go to the cinema instead, & try a film that’s got an amazing trailer. But question is… is the trailer the best part of the film.
Screen 8 was had about 20ish people in but screen 8 only holds about 60 odd maybe 70 so it was pretty full. Not bad for a 5:50 showing really is it.
Trailers we had unsane which was that Clare Foy one I was on about the other day. Then it was that weird dead pool one which looked cool. Then midnight sun which is to teeny for me I ain’t going for that & then there was another 2 but I can’t remember what they were for so couldn’t have been that epic or I’d seen them to many times before to actually register them to memory. One might have been Peter Rabbit maybe I dunno.
Then the film started… So which way are you going people. The complete crap generic comedy that over sold itself to you or the almost perfect film which hits the mark & makes you leave smiling so much? If you went for option A)… YOU WERE WRONG!!!It was hilarious it really was. It had bad jokes it had weird jokes it had Dad jokes it had clever jokes & I just smiled & smiled & I haven’t actually shut up about it since I got home. Seriously iv told people who wouldn’t be interested in the film & the way I’ve sold it to them they are all sitting there going you know what yea I fancy going to see that now. It’s really that funny.
Lots of subplots that are important that don’t go unnoticed & all end up getting resolved too. Lots of twists as well I know some of the twist is in the trailer but they just keep coming & that cameo oh god for the reveal was Just oh god again yes we get more. Usually when a film has a load of twist you sit there going oh another really where as each time this gave us one it was just like yes I get more of this film. Thank fuck for that. You were playing your own game night keeping up with it.
All of the cast all look like they had fun & had a good relationship with each other. Sometime these films miss the spot with the core relationships & sub relationships but this one got it all spot on. It felt like they were my friends. This would be the Kinda stuff we’d end up doing. Just less dodgyness.
The poor dog that’s all I’m going to say that was really awkward. But sweet too ish.I love the stupid bloke friend he was brilliant. I really wanted him to succeed he deserved it. He learnt his lesson too.
It was actually a good film about morals & lessons & life journey which for this type of film to get all that across is bloody good. It’s a proper popcorn put your feet up your going to enjoy this film. Make sure your face is nice & relaxed as at the end of the 95 minutes it’s going to hurt from all the smiling & laughing you are going to do.
Who ever you are you will enjoy this film. I seriously can’t think of anyone I know who would go meh that wasn’t for me. Embrace it & go watch.
