Monday Cinema trip time. Its been a very very busy week in deed & we are only at monday so its time for some me time lets do this.

Very safe to say i lowered the average age of screen 6, to about 50. There was one group of much much older people all sitting in the premier seats, there was 5 of them & that was it. No one else. So yea i lowered the average age defiantly.

Trailers we had Rocket Man yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring it on Taron i am ready for this film i really am. Then we had Red Joan which i am up for. Wild Rose nah no thanks & then White Crow which still isnt being shown anywhere along the south coast which is a shame.

& then the film started… & lets just say cinema is doing a good job for Cornish tourism at the moment, not that it needs it at all, its stunning down there.

Its the kind of film we Brits do best. A charming honest under dog story full of heart & soul which just warms your cockles & makes you feel good about life for an hour or two. Its full of charm, humour, community & old English spirit to it & if thats not enough to get you to see this film i dont know what more could.

Dan (i’ve only got one ball {find the box set on plus one on 4od}) Mays has always been a good actor, but i just thought that was because he had other good actors to bounce off him. Here its his show (with a small bit from Noel Clark) & he makes the film. I dont think there was to much actual acting involved as i always imagine hes a bit like that character in real life, but its his film & he does wonders. Everyone else is good too, im not knocking them its just Dan needs some recognition from time to time, more than we already give him.

Going back to it being in Cornwall, i love the fact that i sat there watching the film going ive been to that pub, ive walked that harbour arm, i know behind that bay theres a gallery & a chippy. It adds to the homely film about it.

I love that its real life story too about them & there journey okay some of it does get a little over dramatic at times but its still all correct & true to its roots.

The little girl in it has all the best one liners, except when 2 people are eating Soleros thats cool & so us.

It did make me feel sad & down in places, but not enough to cry was also a little bit to predictable even if you didnt know how the story ends.

This film did make me feel proud to be British (which says a lot at the moment) & also filled me with Joy & soul. A good easy watch if youve got 2 hours spare. You will laugh at the banta & smile with the songs.
