Time for the tale of the three kittens(not a metaphor…)

Good its a mission to walk from my office to get to the cinema in 8 minutes oh man my feet hurt when i got there thank god i got my ticket on the Monday trip to the odeon.

We also do need to talk about how many adverts there are before kids films. the film started at 5 & the film didnt actually start until 5:30 wtf only 3 trailers for films the rest were all crap adverts as its for kid, there wasnt even the irritating jag advert which i was sitting there wanting.

Captain underpants looks shit, the emoji movie looks shit & lego ninjas is like wtf?!

No little short before this which illumination usually do which was good.

There were to many moments that went over children’s heads to make this a kids film unfortunately. It was still alright as far as money garbing kids franchises go, but a child would have been a little bit bored, & a parent would have actually enjoyed it.

Why do you employ steve coogan for your kids animated film & make him a butler?

There were lots of 80’s & 90s references in there for them all the music was old school & retro. The baddy had a rubics cube as a bomb & the shoulder pads haha.

The best through back is that his side kick the other doctor froze himself in carbonite, & hes actually in the hans solo pose which is hilarious.

There was also two point in the film when i laughed & noone else did, first when his twin brother has a kitchen floor reset in his lets say man cave to not spoil it for you & hes eating all the ice cream he can find, that was cool. The 2nd is when the minions who are going to find gru to save the world, give an impassioned speech about it in minionish & the only bits i could understand from the speech when you put them together said yippie ki yay mother fucker! im not shitting you they say that & it was so funny i was gone.

No so many minions this time which was good sometime you can have too much of them but nah they had the balance just right.

& then there is the saddest moment in kids cinema since olaf said some people are worth melting for. Agnes in order to raise money sells her big fluffy unicorn for all of $2 as it will make a difference… i nearly cried it was so sad, mine & my sisters relationship regarding that unicorn is a special one & i text my sister to say she needed to give hers a huge hug for me.

It was an okay film solid story with an actual direction from the first 5 minutes which was good, didnt over run or under run was funny for both adults & kids & Steve Carell still has it. I recon we stick to no more extra ott minions & this series may have one more film before it has to retire. any more would be too many. Solid kids film take you littleuns to see it.
