ooooh advanced previews i missed you so much, thank god i can go to you again. Yes its time for Cat Person, which from the trailer i saw a few weeks ago looks hilarious so this should be a lot of fun for sure. Bring it on.
For an advanced preview, im a little disappointed im afraid to say i was expecting a lot more people in my screening & also when i talk about the film you will then realise how extremely freaked out i was when my empty row someone came & sat right next to me.
Trailers, the new Nicholas Cage which looks incredible, Saltburn, Bottoms & Napoleon.
& then the film started… Well that didnt deliver on either genre it promised me at all. It wasnt a hilarious comedy & it also wasnt a thriller. It fell between the two worlds & lacked because of it.
I mean her friend was the best part of it for her real life she gave us the most laughs & then she turned serious & it was like hang on. But if im honest thats me. Im all soft & happy & up for stuff cracking jokes until its an issue & then im the most serious person in the world. Seriously ask my friends they will all go oh my god she so does that.
The whole red beige & green flags thing was amazing. I mean even the opening frame was so good.
A Mans biggest Fear is that a woman wont find him funny or attractive, a Womans biggest fear is that a man will kill her.
So So So True. I seriously cant state that enough. I mean there were points in the film when i was screaming at her no no no dont do that. Especially when the street light went out. Me & every other woman in the room just went oooh no.
I really liked the overthinking, imaginations, thinking to much into it. But why did we drop it after a certain point of the movie. Especially as thats when she then really really over thinks. I mean it was funny & helped show how awkward something was but it is what people think when that happens.
It really wasnt afraid to have a go at the modern dating aspect of life & how it can be so bitter & evil sometimes. It just is like oh god at time. Its a horrible game to play, hence being single. Its all the drama & people getting nosy about it all. Its hard to have expectations on you.
Act 3 was so clever & completely turnedthe tables & did keep you gripped at the point where you were sittign there going are we nearly done yet. But no two text messages & i was re invested. It said alot & then the reveal as well about a couple of things to show people were as bad for each other as they were says a lot. It was well put together.
Showing her the Empire Strikes Back as a romance film at the cinema… im in… he had won me over, even with the bad kissing.
The cinema she worked in was very cool. I loved it there. Lets be honest though i love all cinemas. They are my happy place. But the number of retro films. We need more of that over here. Im going to start a campaign we only ever get it for anniversary’s or Christmas.
IT needed to know if it wanted to be a thriller or a comedy & go with one more than the other so it worked. That & a bit of polishing & we would have avery important film that people need to see. It was still very good but it could have been a real contender if it just went those few extra steps.
