Time to watch 2 of my favourite actors in the world on a dark thursday night. Timothee & Mark. I dont usually do horror to late, but i think this is more a story that actual horror by the looks of it. If its not its a good thing no ones at work tomorrow Morning, so i can be a bit tired.

Theres quite a few people here for this showing id day at least half full. Which you know considering its been out for nearly a week now is pretty darn good & its an 18 & horror. Im impressed. It is mainly people my age tho. In fact when i left i was following two girls out of the screening & wasnt really listening to there conversation & as they walked into the bathroom one of them said “oh what is it with you & that letterboxd app” Why the hell did they not mention that 10 steps earlier. So if your one of the two millennials in the cinema on December 1st to watch Bones & All come find me on letterboxd please. We will be such good friends.

Trailers Opp, Megan (scary but yes) Violent Night (seeing tomorrow) Avatar(nope) The infernal machine (would love to but the nearest cinema showing that is in Southampton) & the silent twin (looked intriguing maybe)

& then the film started… There are parts of this film that are not the side of horror that i like at all, but the bits that are me, oh my it was good, so so good.

Yea this is one part of horror i dont like. I mean i know im saying that & im hyped for the last of us (Pedro please come save me, im not ready for that) but yea theres a bit too much cannibalism in this film for my liking. I mean when you dont fully see it its okay but once you do. yea i didnt enjoy that. I knew this was going to be the case with this film, however it is still very ewwwwwwwwwwwwww when it happens. I partially looked away at point so i didnt have to see it. I know it adds to the story, but i didnt like it, too grusom & icky.

Timothee has got it. I dont know what it is but he has. I love that kid. Hes phenomenal & amazing in this film. Such a star & sooooooo good & cool & hes just perfect. Nolan knew what he was doing all those years ago didnt he.

Mark Rylance scared the hell out of me if im honest, but thats a good thing. What a performance. It was hard to watch at points but im pretty sure people will talk about him for years to come with this performance & how wrong & freaky he was. Im now so glad ive got short hair.

There was never an explanation as to why they ate, or how they could smell or what triggered it. & while you watched it you want along with it. But when i got home i was like hang on, how was this the case, or as to why certain things happened. I mean the eventual back story dumps at points do help, but i still want to know why.

Everyones got bloody lake or hill with a picnic blanket on in films to go & escape to havent they, thats very very in. I mean i have a beach i can go to. But still every misguided soul in a films got somewhere like that at the moment. & Timothee now has multiple ones too.

No real jump scares which was nice for such a grim horror film. The nightmare was happening in front of you & wasnt twisting your mind, which i expected it to do a lot more of. But it was a very good story played out very well.

Some lush cinematography at points. Felt very serene in amongst all that blood & guts. I mean even some of those shoots were done beautifully, i mean horrifically graphic, but wonderfully framed on the screen.

Despite this being a horror genre i am not a fan of, i still really enjoyed this film & i think that was all de to the very human story happening & the superb acting in it. It worked. & im sure for people who love this kinda film & body & bloody horror films, that was amazing for them. But yea a little less graphic next time please.
