Time for this years first advanced preview. Time for Babygirl. A film that i thought looked hot & Sexy, long before Pedro did the dance to father figure & once again broke the internet (hes a bastard like that but hes out bastard). So now im going to be sitting there trying to not think of him.
Pretty packed this screening in screen 5, very impressed. Clearly everyone else was like yes give us this a week in advance please. Millennials & above no one younger than 27 there for sure. Oldest person i saw looked about 75.
Trailers, Here (i have a preview booked for wednesday {note it snowed traffic in brighton was crap i couldnt get there}) Real Pain (yes) Maria (yes) The sacred fig (i think thats what its called) & The last show girl.
& then the film started… ooooh that was very sexy in deed.
This film had 3 glaring errors in it im afraid to say…
1) Antonio Banderas is not good in bed…
Im sorry but surely everyone at some point in their life has looked at that man & gone ooooohhhhhhh. Im calling bullshit on the fact that he doesnt satisfy his wife at all. Never ever does that happen in the real world
2) Nicole Kidman doesnt think shes pretty…
Love! If you dont think that (yes i know shes playing a character whos feeling vulnerable at that exact moment) but if she thinks this, what chance do the rest of us have. Because she is still stunning & shes nearly 60.
3) Her phone…
I know we are all on our phone more than we should be, be it social media or work or doom scrolling, but she is constantly on that thing, with full brightness on light mode not even dark, including at night… Its never once put on charge. NEVER!!!!!!!
Yea they are the films flaws, that & that Harris doesnt do it for me & hes not the best actor in the world. He was okay in this, but hes being put in a lot at the moment to make him the next big young star. We have like 6 guys trying to be the alternative to Timothee at the moment, & hes not top of those other 6 im afraid to say. Hes also not sexy, so thirsting after him wasnt the easiest, but there were some moments where it was like yea that works.
The father figure dance will become legend, much like last year with saltburn at the end. It will go viral if TikTok survives the ban & the song will leap up the chart. He was loving life doing it & Kidman was really enjoying it.
Kidman has still got it. She really does. Classy, sexy, strong, vulnerable & funny all in the same scene. Yea thats acting peoples. Shes bloody remarkable.
The tension be it normal or sexual was intense & incredible & the sex & that scene… Fucking Hot! Someone in the row in front of me looked away for one point. But it was very bold blunt & honest with peoples fantasy & wants & desires & that its sometimes not just men that want it, we women do to &we could be any age as well & want this. So dont judge us society please. We have needs & urges too. Im not saying people should cheat but im saying people need to talk.
How many huge houses did she own? She had that one out of the city & then that massive apartment? Yes they both have big important jobs but bloody hell they were a bit much. Also all of them had massive christmas trees in. So is this a christmas movie? Maybe dont get your family around for this one…
The Rave was really well depicted, but how the fuck did they find each other & how did no one notice her or who she was or any of his friends let on. Because if she could find him then someone else would have noticed too.
The mil scene… how many glasses did she have to drink for that take? But also what a pro for doing it when shes been nominated for all the awards too. Although when he whispered Good Girl… that was one of the moments of ooooooohhhhhhhhhh.
I love how there were constant power shifts to be it between the two of them or other people finding out or working out what was going on to. It was very clever manipulation which was cleverly done. It made me sit there going ooooh what next. IT made you on the edge of your seat for an awful lot of it.
It had a very good script & score. It knew when it need to be silent & when it needed noise. It all just worked.
Go see this film people please. It will make you feel a lot. It was almost exactly what i needed. But yea maybe dont go with an ex or your parents. Could get awkward.
