You know that this is just a fairy tale, right, sweetheart? I mean, things don’t always happen like this in real life… and another one bites the dust
Carrie had a point. Cinderella is the ultimate example of the fairy tale which does crash & then goes good then crash again then yea then maybe then oh yay & its over
So lets relive me as a small child wanting to go to a ball, and being so happy when aged 5 my grandparents took me to see Cinderella as a child in Panto. It was amazing, i especially liked the fact i was given a magic wand, which when i returned home my nearly 1 year old sister stole it from me & we chased her round the house to get it back. That is the defining moment when my sister arrived with her mad personality.
Maybe thats why Cinderella brings me so much joy any version of it as it just reminds me that that was when this small person was actually going to be someone.
The mice are too key to this story im sorry they are, & as much as Gus & Jaq are good, there supporting role almost eclipses some important ones. The side kick should be a side kick end of. Unless they are Olaf of course. He is the exception to all side kick rules, but even he doesnt turn up til half way through the film. Yes they show her kindness but nah, im sorry not for me. I would rather watch more of lucifer the cat & bruno the dogs show down than the mice.
The prince seems as boring as fuck why the hell would anyone want to marry him? and to that extent why wasnt he already married? there must be something wrong with him if he isnt married in this age of disney.
No one noticed that Cinderella was the girl oh god, it winds me up in all the version but seriously, it take humming a song that noone really hears, as its when they go off to the gardens remember, for anyone to work it out.
Why did it take a party for the fairy godmother to turn up, & then never show up again? If her life was that sad & tragic why was she only there for that moment, and not the rest. Also bad message for kids that you have to be like that for anyone to notice you.
The songs are good, and i can still sing everyword, but some are a bit to dated & old now & too high pitched, im not Fricken Adele people.
Its still a classic despite its flaws in being to dated now. thats one of the good things with the disney remakes they are getting more real & dark. Something that i now prefer to the originals.
