2 weeks no cinema including a week when i can see films whenever i basically want as im off & there was nothing on nothing. Anything that was new looked shite & everything that was on i had already seen. So it was nice to go back.
Pretty empty okay 4:45 is an odd time for a film, but come on its a Friday people make an effort. Its Emma Stone for crying out loud.
Didn’t full on cry at the sky cinema Christmas advert. One tear trickled down my face. Not bad im nearly there nearly there.
Trailer wise, Downsizing (im in) The Greatest Showman (im in) Three Billboards (im in) & oh what was the other one oh what was it argh it wasnt star wars or the darkest hour but its something Oscar tipped wise & its doing my head in as to what… oh it was the disaster artist haha that was it. Looks good but looks crap i know thats the point but it looks really odd.
Film time then. No spoilers here, it actually did happen so there want to moan you can google the outcome. It was really really well done & very accurate to what happened.
Emma Stone acted better in this than she did La La Land she really did. She was brilliant. She wont get an Oscar for this performance though, which is a shame. Steve Carell equally was brilliant too properly camping it up love him. Absolutely perfect for the role.
It was a brilliant cast actually Sarah Silverman, Bill Pullam, Andrea Riseborough were all brilliant. But Alan Cumming was fantastic truly brilliant as there stylist & confident who knew nothing but also knew everything. He was perfect.
I always love how sports films have to recreate everything the exact way it was originally that tennis match was so so good.
I always though Billie was a lesbian i had no idea she was married to a man before hand. Bless Larry. Its nice that shes god mother to his eventual kids.
It weird that tennis recently went through a similar thing about the women with the remarks made about some players. So its perfect timing for this film to come out really to go oh this issue need to stop. Women stars now do get the same as the men as prize money at the grandslams.
It was a really well though out way of doing the film & everyone involved should be proud of there work. It has come out a little to early to get the award accolades that it should.
